In late April of this year, 10tons Ltd. released their cyberpunk roguelike dual-stick shooter Neon Chrome on desktop and consoles, and in June they officially announced a mobile version was in the works and they were seeking beta testers for a planned beta period in August. Well, it’s August, and as promised the beta testing on the mobile version of Neon Chrome began just a couple of days ago. 10tons has since updated the Neon Chrome thread in our upcoming games forum with a new video of the game running on an iPad Air 2. Check it out.
Although the beta testing period has already begun, 10tons may still be drawing new testers from the pool of applicants as the testing continues, and if you’re interested in trying to get in on that you can still sign up on their website. 10tons notes that as of right now Neon Chrome is completely playable on iOS and all that’s left is “improving the very basic core things like playbility, difficulty level and technical performance." Hopefully that means we won’t be waiting too long for the mobile version, as even though I’ve been drowning in awesome dual-stick shooters as of late between Leap of Fate ($3.99) and Space Marshals 2 ($4.99), I’m always on the hunt for more. We’ll let you know when a firm release date for Neon Chrome on mobile is finalized.
