The End is Nigh in the New “Pakocalypse” Update for ‘Pako – Car Chase Simulator’

TouchArcade Rating:

It’s pretty crazy to think that Pako – Car Chase Simulator ($1.99) from Tree Men Games has been around for nearly two years, and even crazier to think about the amount of content that’s been added via updates in the time since its launch. It’s evolved from a pretty simplistic vehicular arena survival game to one that features tons of different levels to play, multiple vehicles, additional game modes, and even a slick 3rd-person camera option. Today the latest Pako update has launched and once again it transforms the game significantly. The “Pakocalypse" update adds a new level called Aftermath along with 3 brand new vehicles all of which look like they came straight out of Mad Max. Of course, it’s not just an aesthetic apocalyptic theme, as while you’re playing Aftermath there are zombies roaming the land, tanks threatening you from all around, and even death and destruction raining down from the sky.

It doesn’t end there, though, as you can take some of this Pakocalypse with you into the rest of the game too. All previous Pako levels now include an option to enable Pakocalypse mode which will bring the aforementioned zombies, tanks, and raining death into the original levels you know and love, putting a new spin on the gameplay. Since the deck will be stacked against you, when Pakocalypse mode is enabled your vehicle will now include a new offensive move to help you in dispatching the threats. For a dollar, there really is no better bang for your buck than Pako – Car Chase Simulator, so be sure to take it for a spin if you haven’t already and I’ll be looking forward to how the game continues to evolve during the next two years of its life.
