Over the weekend Ravenous Games announced their latest upcoming iOS project called Journey Below. It’s an auto-runner where you change directions after colliding with a wall–think of the excellent Wind-up Knight games–and you can either jump or perform a dash attack by touching either side of the screen. It’s a high-scoring game where you’ll battle through 12 randomly generated levels before squaring off against a boss. Additionally, killing enemies will add to your combo counter and after each level you’ll be able to choose from 3 different randomly generated upgrades, somewhat similar to Downwell.
I’m pretty much on-board with anything Ravenous makes, and we shouldn’t have to wait too long before Journey Below is in our hot little hands. Currently the developer is just adding in achievements to the game and they may even be able to submit Journey Below to Apple later this week, with a planned release sometime in August. Keep an eye out for this one and check out the forum thread for more details.
