Mojang is steadily working on Minecraft Pocket Edition 0.15 ($6.99) update, and it’s almost ready to open up the Beta for Android testers. Hopefully, that means we are getting much closer to release, and I’m excited about that. If you haven’t been following the 0.15 development, the biggest feature we are getting is Minecraft Realms, the Mojang-run Minecraft servers that take the hassle out of playing multiplayer with friends. This is one of my most anticipated features because it’s been a while since I’ve played the game in multiplayer mode. Every time I’ve played MCPE on the TouchArcade Mobcrush channel, I always get requests to play multiplayer, so hopefully Realms will help us make that a reality.

0.15 is bringing more than just Realms; we are also getting horses, craftable leather horse armor, a new way to deal with the inventory, two new mobs, pistons, the new Observer Block, leads, name tags, new food items, commands, plugins, and maybe even resource packs. In other words, another huge update. We have no idea when the update will be released, but if you are on Android, you can go here to help Mojang test it.
