I you are familiar with Rayman Jungle Run ($2.99) and like runners in general, this is a game to watch. Red Story is brought to you by From Paris Entertainment with Floriane Marchix being part of the team. The name alone might not mean much but she was a concept artist on the Rayman Origins project. There is no denying the warm resemblance to Rayman. The similarities don’t stop there, it will be fun looking out for easter eggs and design ressemblances.
In this platform runner you have to retrieve the map that leads to grandma’s house, stolen by some hungry wolves. You will have to avoid the traps and enemies they have laid out for you along the way, and also picking up flames to keep your torch alit so as not to plunge you into darkness.
There will be a great deal of interaction apart from the obvious jumping; you can use parts of the scenery to help you, swipe and touch elements, even use the old gyroscope to help you swing from rope to rope. Challenges and bosses will be part of the fun coming our way some time in July.
In the meantime check out Floriane’s blog, she has some neat artwork.
