Back in January Roadhouse Interactive announced that they were collaborating with legendary metal band Iron Maiden for a new mobile RPG called Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast. In it you’d amass an army of Eddies, Iron Maiden’s iconic mascot, from various themes and time periods and place them in teams to partake in turn-based battles. In late February, Roadhouse divulged a few new details about the game, as well as a slick new cinematic trailer, which you can see below. Today, Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast has been soft-launched in Malaysia ahead of its planned full launch this summer.
Unfortunately, Malaysia is probably not one of those iTunes account that adventurous soft-launch goers have in their arsenal. However, it’s pretty darn easy to make a new iTunes account in a foreign App Store following our handy guide. While Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast is yet another free to play social RPG like so many others out there, it’s quite clear that Roadhouse is extremely passionate about this project and with so much direct involvement from the band itself they’re looking to stuff this puppy full of fan service that will delight a broad audience of gamer types. Hey, it worked for Star Wars: Uprising (Free).
I don’t typically get too excited for games like this but I’m incredibly excited for Legacy of the Beast. Be sure to check out the forum thread for early impressions from the soft-launch and we’ll let you know when Iron Maiden: Legacy of the Beast launches worldwide.
