I have to confess that I previously owned an Eddie poster.. Don’t know who Eddie is? He is the main character in Iron Maiden’s upcoming game Legacy of the Beast. Eddie is their zombie mascot and will be battling his way through time and space, early June. This Free to play RPG is being developed by Roadhouse Interactive, the guys who brought Warhammer 40k: Carnage ($2.99) a great endless runner that is currently on sale.
Legacy of the Beast will be deeply anchored in the bands lore using 30 years of artwork, fliers and posters. To boot, the game will have previously unheard live recordings, which you will be able to enjoy as you help Eddie collect parts of his soul, shattered by a mysterious force. To do so you will have different Eddies to choose from, all having their own upgradeable abilities, and two ghoulish minions as you fighting companions. You start out the game with a diminished, weak Eddie and gain more power as you recuperate shards of your soul.
For the die hard fans you can head over to their site and preorder the Founders Pack with a ton of goodies like t-shirts, headphones, posters, art books and more; prices vary from 80 to 500$ depending on the pack.
