Back in late March, Halfpipe Hero (Free) developer Bit Free Games unveiled their new project, an over-the-top tile-smashing game called Brick Ninja. At that time they were seeking beta testers for the project, and it looks like a lot of progress has been made in the month or so since then. The game is now finished and has a brand spanking new name, Smash Fu, as well as an official release date of May 12th. There’s also a brand new trailer for Smash Fu, check it out.
As you can see, Smash Fu is sort of like one of those “piano tile" type of games where you have to tap and smash the correct tiles while avoiding the incorrect ones. What Bit Free Games has done with Smash Fu is add a ton of layers of variety in terms of unlockable tile types that each have unique properties that mix up the gameplay. That’s on top of the wonderful style and production values in the game. The impressions from early players in our forums have been extremely positive, so be sure to check out Smash Fu when it hits next week on May 12th.
