A few weeks ago we wrote about Disney Crossy Road, a “Disney-fied" version of Crossy Road (Free) developed by Disney in cooperation with Hipster Whale. Now, the game has soft launched in Canada, and you can all go join in the fun of seeing Mickey hit by various vehicles. We don’t know much about the game at the moment (I haven’t downloaded it yet), but we do know the game will has over 100 Disney and Pixar characters through 9 different worlds.
This is another interesting Disney take on popular genres after the recently-released Disney Magic Kingdoms (Free). I think this is an excellent strategy on behalf of Disney since it’s plugging its famous characters into genres that are already quite successful. I have a hunch Disney will be making a lot of money on mobile, at least for the foreseeable future.
