See ‘Graybles’ Promising First Trailer and Apply For the Beta

Back in September we first wrote about Graybles, an upcoming game that’s all about navigating multiple perspectives in your quest to solve various puzzles. The game looked promising and quite charming in September, and it’s looking even better in January despite the team behind it consisting of a single person with, apparently, a love for multiple perspectives. In addition to giving us the first trailer of the game, Daniel Marques is taking applications for the game’s open beta in our forums, so if you like puzzle games at all, you should probably head there and sign up.

As for the trailer, I’m not surprised at how nice it looks because, frankly, Marques’ work on it so far has been top notch. You can see some of the game’s levels and get a sense of how the multi-perspective mechanic is going to work when the game comes out. In addition to the clever mechanics, the trailer shows off the really lovely visuals and the great soundtrack, which reminds me a lot of the music from Carcassonne.

Today, Marques talked about how he’s working on the characters’ stories; apparently, each character will have two stories, one when their world starts and one after it finishes, and Marques wants to get feedback from the forum members about the stories. So, if you like what you see, jump over to the thread and apply for the beta.
