Sentinels of the Multiverse ($0.99), one of the most entertaining card games on the App Store, is getting its 3rd full expansion this Friday, and it’s a big one, too. Shattered Timelines is all about, you guessed it, alternate worlds clashing with all kinds of crazy results. Heroes turn to villains and the other way around, and environments blend and crumble. So, as you can imagine, this is a fun expansion that was quite well received when it came out for the physical version of the game. The update includes 8 new decks, just like Rook City and Infernal Relics, with 2 heroes, 4 villains, and 2 new environments. The heroes are Chrono-Trigger and Omnitron-X, the villains are The Dreamer, Kismet, Le Capitan, and Iron Legacy, and the environments Time Cataclysm and The Block.

In addition to the decks, we are getting new Variants to unlock with The Freedom Six tasked with stopping Iron Legacy. The variant hunt will commence when the update is available on all platforms, and the first person to contact the developers on Facebook or Twitter with a screenshot showing their successful unlocking of a Variant earns a spot in the Hall of Fame. Finally, the expansion also brings with it several gameplay achievements and, I suspect, minor fixes here and there. If you have the Season Pass, you’ll be prompted to re-download it when you launch the game, otherwise I suspect Shattered Timelines will cost $4.99.
