For a long time, the king of hedgehog protagonists in gaming was Sonic the Hedgehog. However, a couple of decades of mediocrity has left the throne for top hedgehog in gaming quite vulnerable. And we’re in an era where the long-time underdog is surpassing the long-time superior. The Clippers are much better than the Lakers right now, and the Mets have been to a World Series more recently than the Yankees. And Tilt: Quill’s Quandary brings a pirate hedgehog with an eyepatch to the table. Watch your back, Sonic.
The game has you tilting around levels, moving boxes to open up the exit, but with the catch that you can move a little bit to not move the entire level, and a lot to move everything around including yourself. You have to be smart and careful while playing, but at least the system works in a simple on-off way with the tilting. Tilt: Quill’s Quandary releases on Thursday, December 10th, for $1.99.
