This past June, we learned that martial arts-based MMO Age of Wushu would be making the jump from PC to mobile devices in the form of Age of Wushu Dynasty courtesy of developer Snail Games. Then in late October it was announced that a closed beta was set to begin on both iOS and Android for Age of Wushu Dynasty. We’re just over a month out from that, and Snail Games has sent word that the beta period has been extremely fruitful and that they plan on pushing Age of Wushu Dynasty out the door sometime next month. Here’s a new trailer.
I’m not a big MMO player or anything, but the idea of a bunch of martial arts experts all roaming around one giant, persistent open world battling it out and completing quests does sound very cool. Age of Wushu Dynasty will feature 4 different schools of martial arts for players to choose from, and they’re currently being spotlighted in videos on the game’s YouTube channel if you want to check them out. Tackling the MMO genre on mobile has been difficult so far, so I’m very interested to see how Age of Wushu Dynasty fares when it launches on iOS and Android in January.
