You can’t really scroll through the App Store without running across dozens of icons with giant, screaming faces on them à la the icon for Clash of Clans (Free). That’s because Supercell’s mega-hit social strategy game has been copied over and over again in an effort by others to capitalize on its success, but rarely do any of the copycats actually try to do something different or interesting with the formula. Heroes of Paragon is hoping to change that by allowing their players to bring their actual bases into battle. Check out the trailer.
Is this something that will truly differentiate Heroes of Paragon from Clash of Clans? I have no idea! I don’t play Clash and so all these games just sort of look the same to me. It could be a major shift in play or just a minor distinction in an otherwise carbon copy of Clash. One thing I can say I like for sure is the pretty 3D visuals in Heroes of Paragon. So, if you’re a Clash player, what do you think? Does this look like the next big thing? Heroes of Paragon is currently soft-launched in Canada and Poland (and possibly other regions), so you may be able to take it for a test drive right now if you have access to one of the soft-launch regions. Otherwise look for its worldwide launch December 3rd.
