If you don’t know the Butterscotch Shenanigans guys yet, you should. The St. Louis-based studio consists of three brothers who together have made some pretty awesome games and are really just the kind of dudes that absolutely anyone would enjoy drinking a ice cold Coors Light with on any occasion. The story of their upcoming game, Crashlands, is incredible, and something we’ve touched on before in publishing an article by Butterscotch’s own Sam Coster titled “The Last Game I Make Before I Die" – The Story of ‘Crashlands’, Cancer and Leaving a Legacy. It’s one of the best things we’ve ever published on TouchArcade, and totally worth the time to read it.
Cliffsnotes, however, basically amounts to 1/3 of the Butterscotch Shenanigans trio has been battling a particularly nasty form of cancer while working on the video game he always wanted to make. I’m excited to see how it all pans out, both the documentary and the upcoming release of the game. Oh, and in unrelated, but somewhat kinda sorta related, if you’re one of the many Butterscotch Shenanigans die-hard fans out there and want to let your Bscotch freak flag fly in the form of a t-shirt, they’re doing a limited run of those you might want to get in on.
