When the 0.12 update hit Minecraft: Pocket Edition ($6.99) a bit over a month ago, most mobile players were very excited to finally play a Minecraft game on their phones and tablets that came close to the PC experience, and I was one of them. With all the new features added to the game, one would think that we would all be satisfied; yet, we are not, at least I’m not. I’m like a child in a candystore when it comes to MCPE because I know how many more features will eventually make it into the mobile version, and I can’t wait to get them. Case in point, redstone, that amazing red dust that “time machines" your builds from the middle ages to the industrial revolution. Well, good news on that front as we got a new image of redstone in MCPE but, more importantly, we got a hint that 0.13 might be coming sooner than we think.
Exciting times, as stuff is coming together! pic.twitter.com/XVT3HYmH94

First thing’s first. Daniel Wustenhoff, an MCPE developer, posted the above image on his twitter feed, showing the many ways redstone will work in MCPE. Even from that one image you can imagine how much more stuff we’ll be able to do in MCPE once 0.13 hits. However, according to another MCPE developer, pistons will be coming to the game later, which is a bummer but an understandable one. Dispensers aren’t confirmed for 0.13 either, even though Tommaso Checchi has been talking about them on his twitter account. What he did say though, as you can see from the tweet below, is that 0.13 is coming out a lot sooner than we expect, which is promising. No firm dates on that, but I hope we see a faster development pace now. And by the way, boats are getting faster in 0.13, which you’ll know how happy that makes me if you’ve watched me complain about how slow they are on my Mobrush MCPE stream.
Actually dispensers aren't confirmed for 0.13, but 0.13 is coming a lot sooner that you expect. I guess it evens out.
