This past December, Sega’s Chain Chronicle (Free), which they dub a “line-defense RPG", was brought to the US App Store care of gumi Inc. While Chain Chronicle reached massive popularity in Asian markets over the past couple of years, it hasn’t quite set the North American world on fire yet. However, that may change with the upcoming Version 2.0 update to Chain Chronicle which is set to arrive soon. Here’s a new trailer showing off Version 2.0 of Chain Chronicle.

To celebrate the coming launch of Version 2.0, gumi has set up a pre-registration page on their website where you can fill in your in-game username and email and spin a wheel for a chance to win some prizes in Chain Chronicle. Once the pre-registration event ends players who have won something will get a link and redeem code to claim their prizes. I haven’t really spent significant time with Chain Chronicle, but I might use this coming update as an excuse to give it a closer look.
