We’ve been following the epic tale of Prettygreat for quite some time now. Earlier this year, a bunch of very great ex-Halfbrick guys spun off to do their own thing. A while later, Hipster Whale, the developers of Crossy Road helped them out with some seed money. We caught a super-quick glimpse of it, but today is the day for the full reveal. The game is called Land Sliders, and you can see how it looks in the just-released trailer:
In the game, you go adventuring, collecting stuff and discovering secrets- Not by moving your character, but instead by moving the world around them. It’s a clever control scheme we got a quick look at which I’m thinking should come pretty naturally to anyone who has used an iOS device before. You’re using familiar swiping gestures to move the world around like you’d navigate a web page in Safari. It works really well.
They’re not releasing any details yet on pricing or release date, so, feel free to go wild speculating. I’ve heard rumors of a beta starting soon, so if that’s something you’re interested in definitely keep your eyes on our upcoming games forum.
