FlyAngle is a curious-looking game that looks to combine endless running with shooter mechanics. You control a spaceship that can go up and curl back around in a loop, picking up helper ships along the way to help shoot down obstacles and enemies that get in your way. It’s looking like a high-score-centric experience, and certainly like a nifty concept. Check out the video:
This seems like the kind of game that could sit at the precipice of having just an interesting concept and being something great, depending on how the final version plays. Will the enemies be actual threats, or just opportunities for points where you have to fly carefully around them and the hazards to get points? How does the game feel? We’ll find out in early September, when the game is scheduled to release as a free, ad-supported game. Check out the forum thread for more on the game.
