‘Blendamaze’ is a Color Mixing Labyrinth Game – Coming This Month

In the early days of the App Store, particularly in the pre-App Store jailbreak era, labyrinth games of all types were super popular. Developers hadn’t really figured out what to do with iOS devices just yet, and using an accelerometer to tilt around a ball seemed like it made the most sense. Eventually Illusion Labs released Labyrinth (Free) and then followed it up with Labyrinth 2 ($4.99) which effectively ended The Great Maze Game Wars (For real, it was a thing) with a game of a quality level that was just impossible to beat. Years later, and we’re starting to see high-production labyrinth games again, which … almost makes them feel fresh again, in a really strange way. For instance, check out the trailer for Blendamaze:

I’ve got no idea if Blendamaze is going to reinvent the labyrinth game wheel, or if that sort of thing is even possible anymore, but the color mixing mechanic seems like a neat thing to lean on. And, hey, it’s been so long since Labyrinth 2 came out, a high production value maze game almost feels new again. For more details, check out the thread in our forums, otherwise keep your eyes peeled for Blendamaze sometime this month.
