The App Store has been weird as hell in recent weeks, which sort of has us reanalyzing how we handle our Wednesday release coverage. People are always saying they look forward to this post, and even on the weakest of weeks we correlate those comments with a similar surge in traffic to the “Coming Tonight" articles… But on a day like today, when it’s almost 10:00 AM Eastern and by now the NZ App Store would typically be flooded with games on any “normal" week, and we’re seeing two games releasing the “traditional" way while everything else just randomly pops up available worldwide? Seems strange.
Anyway, here’s a listing of threads for new games that have been posted in our forums. The vast majority of these are available right now. We’ll probably see another burst of releases throughout the day at some point, at which case I’ll update this listing if it’s not getting too close to the time we typically post our full “Out Now" roundup at around 11:00 PM Eastern.

Sooooo… Yeah. I think it’s super premature to call this a weak week, as much as there’s just something weird going on and we’re not sure what yet. Given the momentum of releases week to week, it seems insane that there’d be so few games coming out today. But, hey, it’s the App Store, and totally weird is actually totally normal. For instance, we know Don’t Starve is coming, but, it’s nowhere to be found on any App Store region.
Update: We heard from a couple different developers who have said they haven’t done anything different with their listings on the App Store, so chalk this up to good ol’ Apple weirdness. Here’s another batch of games that just popped up and these are all available in New Zealand and appear to be filtering out across the iTunes regions worldwide like they usually do.
