If you’re wondering just how your phone will fit into the Fallout 4 collector’s edition Pip-Boy? We already know that the iPhone 6 Plus and phablets of similar size regrettably won’t fit in it, but Bethesda has shown off the foam inserts and the dimensions that will fit phones for use with the game. If you have an iPhone 5, 5S, or 6, you’ll have some simple foam to use. If you have an Android phone, you may need to do some cutting to fit in the cavity, which Bethesda says is 141.2mm x 71.6mm x 10.2mm without foam.
You’re out of luck if you want to use your too-big phone with the Pip-Boy, but smartphone clips for the DualShock 4 and Xbox One controller do exist, so you can get that second-screen experience regardless. Bethesda at least is making sure that you’re aware of what you’ll need to do to use this really cool bonus with Fallout 4 when it releases later this year.
