While we wait for This War of Mine to launch on iOS, you don’t have to wait for another game from some of the team from 11 bit Studios to release a new game. RymPow Team, consisting of moonlighting developers, have been independently working on their own time on a game called PixWing, which is coming to mobile this year. This is a flying game, where you will pilot a plane, a dragon, a flying car, and other vehicles, through gates in a bunch of different 3D worlds. The game is designed to use gyroscope controls, making you get your body into the game, with it even showing calories, though there do appear to be alternate control options if gyroscopic controls aren’t preferable.
The game looks like it has some neat worlds full of obstacles to fly through and around. The game uses a low-poly style with plenty of color, that makes it look like a low-resolution game intentionally blown up to a high-resolution screen. I find the look really intriguing, and I can’t wait to fly around these worlds. It will be possible to enjoy the worlds without needing to do anything, though there will be plenty of challenges to take on, as well.
PixWing will be launching this summer, aiming for a June or July release. It will be a premium game without any in-app purchases.
