Ellie from The Last of Us is coming to iOS! Well, ok, not exactly. According to an announcement yesterday, Ashley Johnson, the actress who voiced Ellie in Naughty Dog’s huge hit The Last of Us, has signed on to work on Telltale’s Tales from the Borderland’s (Free) series. Johnson has also worked on the TV show Growing Pains and on the game Infamous: First Light. She will be joining the likes of Nolan North, Troy Baker, and Laura Bailey, as well as Chris Hardwick and Patrick Warbutton.
Confirmed. @BAFTA winning @TheVulcanSalute has joined the cast of 'Tales from the @Borderlands'! Spoiler Alert: She's amazing. Show, stolen!

More specifically, Telltale’s Laura Perusco revealed on Twitter yesterday that Ashley Johnson has joined the TFTB‘s cast. Telltale’s communication lead, Job Stauffer, told us a bit more about Johnson’s role; apparently, she’ll play a very core character in Episode 3. With story being so central in Telltale’s games, strong voice actresses and actors are essential, and Telltale is continuing to go for top talent. TFTB was a surprisingly-refreshing Telltale game and easily the funniest one of the bunch, so I’m excited to see where the series is going. Do you have any guesses as to which character Johnson might be voicing?
