Remember the Crescent Moon-published space dogfighting game Strike Wing: Raptor Rising ($2.99) from 2013? Well, it’s been over a year and a half since its release, but developer Dream Builder Studios has just updated it with a big Episode 2 update. The bulk of the content is in five new story missions to play through, featuring new enemies to fight, and new ships to play through. Five challenge missions are in the game now, with 20 in-game challenges to play in total.
The game has gotten various other improvements: it boasts an improved interface and HUD, new Game Center leaderboards and achievements, along with many of the other tweaks and additions over the past year and a half. It’s great to see developers updating their games for loyal fans. It might not make the most financial sense to do so as updates, but hey – many of these games are labors of love, and sometimes developers want to make updates than sequels because they want this one thing to be as perfect as they want it to be to make themselves happy.
