Backflip’s long-running, mega-popular DragonVale (Free) game has just gotten a new “cooperative breeding" feature that makes it easier to get rare dragons. You can now check out your friends’ dragons, and choose to breed with them. So, if your friends have a particular breed that you need to make the dragon you want, you can breed with it and help advance along your collection. Everyone wins!

Along with the ability to create more of the hybrid breeds, there’s five new Galaxy Dragons that can be earned from breeding your dragons with other people, so get on that even if you have plenty of the breeds that you want. Nothing like rare rewards to entice you to do something, eh? Still, considering that many of these social simulation and RPG games trap you with your own collections of characters, it’s nice to get to the thing that sold so many copies of Pokemon, not to mention link cables: interacting with other players’ creatures!
