Here’s a collaboration that comes straight out of 2009, but here in 2015. Luc Bernard, who helped make the 2009 turn-based strategy game Mecho Wars, is teaming up with Pocket God ($0.99) to bring Pocket God vs. Desert Ashes to life. This is a spin-off of Desert Ashes, which is basically a crazy remake/spinoff/semi-sequel to Mecho Wars that was announced for desktop and mobile way back in 2012 and is out now on Steam and Playstation Vita, that will feature the cast of Pocket God fighting it out with the fantasy creatures of Desert Ashes.
The game will launch first for Playstation systems, and will have exclusive multiplayer maps – word we’re hearing is that an iOS version is on the way. Apparently, the folks behind each game of the crossover were fans of each other’s work back in the day, and things just finally came together for them to work together. And there’s even some new characters that are going to pop up in this crossover – and they’re promising regular updates, since Pocket God is known for them. No news on the release date for this one quite yet, though.
