Hex Grid Puzzler ‘A Day in the Woods’ Gets Enhanced Mobile Version in April

Better late than never! RetroEpic Software has announced that they’re bringing their 2011 puzzler A Day in the Woods to iOS in early April. This game mixes sliding puzzles with hex grids – real game alert! – as you try to get Little Red Riding Hood to her grandmother’s house without getting eaten by wolves, swapping tiles around so that you can get around without getting eaten, or otherwise harmed. The forests are dangerous these days, folks.

The game is looking mighty good, even a few years after release, as it’s meant to look like wood-cut style art. The graphics have been updated for the new mobile version, there’s new music, and the game’s 60 puzzles have been tweaked and improved for this new mobile version. Expect this one to cost $4.99 and release on April 2nd. If you’ve never checked this one out on desktop, it might be as good a time as any to do so when the mobile version comes out.
