‘Imps in Tokyo’, Made with the Help of Forum Beta Testers, Releases This Month

Warsaw-based independent developer We Are Vigilantes has just announced the release date for their first game, Imps in Tokyo. Coming on February 17th, this game has you controlling a flying creature as they avoid hazards and take out enemies, those enemies being the dreams of humans. The game uses hand-drawn illustrations, and has an 80’s-inspired soundtrack, and controls are based on touches and swipes, without any virtual joysticks and d-pads. Oh, and it has at least one farting imp, the real killer feature for any game on the App Store. Check out the trailer:

The game has both a campaign mode and an endless mode, the latter of which gets unlocked after a short time in the campaign mode. Imps in Tokyo will be $1.99 without any in-app purchases at launch, with additional high score challenges planned down the road. The game was made with the help of the Touch Arcade forums who contributed feedback in a beta test; you can read the upcoming release thread and chat with other players and the developers there.
