Acquire, the developers behind PlayStation 1&2-era games Tenchu and Way of the Samurai, have a new mobile game releasing next week on February 12th, called Fort Raiders SMAAASH! The game was originally released in Japan as Yuusha Toride BAGOOON!, so, yeah, a localized title was probably a good idea. The game has you building fortresses with powerful defenses and different summoning creatures to help keep them secure. Secure from what, exactly? Well, other players will be trying to raid your fortress using their own forces to attack you and win your loot, though you can train your own forces to attack them.
So the game is basically a 2D take on the Clash of Clans (Free) formula. But it might just be more exciting to try and take down a tower of great height than a widely-expansive fortress, right? We’ll find out starting next week, on February 12th, when the game hits iOS and Android.
