Metaversal Studios has just announced a new game based on the popular technical fighting game series BlazBlue, with BlazBlue: Battle Cards coming soon. This will be a collectible card game featuring nine characters from the series, with a number of customizable decks and different card types that can be used to gain advantages in battles. Real-time online battles are being promised by Metaversal, so you’ll be able to compete against an opponent in real-time like Hearthstone (Free), and unlike many asynchronous multiplayer card games.
The characters in the game are based on BlazBlue: Chrono Phantasma, with official artwork and music. Additional characters are planned for post-launch content updates. The game will be free-to-play with card packs available as IAP. The series’ art and style should make for a stylish-looking CCG for sure, and the online multiplayer sounds intriguing. No release date has been announced yet, but keep an eye on our forum thread for the game, as it should have more info on the game straight from Metaversal as they reveal it.
