Could Superhero Creation Game ‘Playworld Superheroes’ be Fun for Kids and Adults?

We recently came across the trailer for a game called Playworld Superheroes, and while the game has a focus on kids, the concept alone sounds pretty neat. The game will involve letting you create your own superhero, and taking them into battle with the Golumites, aliens who have decided that Earth is ripe for the invasion. Many aliens before them have tried, and many have failed. Now it’s up to you to stop the Golumites, crafting together your own superhero to help defeat them. Check out the teaser:

While the game is definitely aimed toward kids, and that raises some concerns about how much fun the overall concept will be for older players who might want to check this out, there’s certainly no reason to despair. After all, the Lego games are kid-friendly but have plenty of adult fans because they’re good games at their core with humor and intelligence. Starship, the developer of this and future Playworld games, could certainly make something interesting with this ambitious idea, but we’ll see how the final product turns out. Playworld Superheroes is expected this month, and will launch as a paid app without IAP.
