Well hey, just the other day we got some new details on Telltale’s upcoming Game of Thrones series and promises that it was coming this year, but Tales from the Borderlands‘ future was still unknown. Well, good news: Telltale has just released a trailer for their upcoming series set in Gearbox’s Borderlands universe, with a confirmation that the first episode will be launching on iOS by the end of the year.
The first episode is called “Zero Sum" and will be one of five episodes released in the series. Expect standard Telltale operating procedure as far as price goes, $4.99 to buy the first episode, with a season pass also available. The series takes place after Borderlands 2 on the planet of Pandora, with Handsome Jack making a return, though new characters will be at the control of the player. The voice cast includes Troy Baker, Laura Bailey, Chris Hardwick, Erin Yvette, Patrick Warburton, and Dameon Clarke, and I’m pretty sure I hear John DiMaggio in there as well. Though could one game possibly contain the gruffness of both Patrick Warburton and John DiMaggio? I’m not even sure that’s legal. Telltale’s gonna be really pushing it with this series if so. But with this and Game of Thrones upcoming, it looks like the Telltale release cycle is kicking back up into full gear.
