At this time last month, True Skate ($1.99) had just received an update adding in a course from the 2013 Street League Skateboarding stop in Kansas City and dropped its price to free to celebrate the Street League event occurring that weekend in Chicago. Well, Street League is heading to LA this weekend for the second stop on their 2014 tour, and that means that today we have another new park and another price drop for True Skate. The new park is based on the 2013 Street League Portland course, and here’s a couple of screens to give you an idea of what it looks like.
The Portland course, much like the Kansas City course from last month, feels a bit sparse in comparison to some of the excellent original levels True Axis has created for True Skate since its release. However, it’s especially fun playing in a real-life location that I recognize from watching on TV, and both Portland and Kansas City are tailor made for the “Realistic" mode that was added to the game back in May. Like other DLC courses in True Skate, SLS Portland 2013 will run you 99¢ to purchase, but like last month, the initial download of the game will be free through the weekend, so grab it if you haven’t already. The actual Street League LA competition takes place on Sunday at 8pm EST, you can find out what channel it’s on in your area over at the official website.
