Sorry I missed a stream on Friday, everyone… But I was pretty stoked to see people hanging out in the Twitch chat around this time of day anyway! We’ll make up for it today with some extra Flappy Bird, because I’ve learned over the weekend that Flappy Bird is basically the real-life equivalent of Wyld Stallyns. Or, at least, that’s what I’m choosing to believe for why it is still so high up on the charts.
To tune into the TA Plays Live stream you’ve got three options:
- The easiest is to just scroll down to see the embedded video stream and chat below. Make sure to turn the volume slider up if you want to hear game audio and commentary.
- Visit the TouchArcade channel on Twitch directly and watch over there.
- Download the Twitch.TV app (Free) and either hit this link on your device or simply search for the channel TouchArcade.
I usually stream until around 7:00 Eastern, at which point I toss the videos up on YouTube for everyone to see that missed the stream. Feel free to request games in chat, but if you’re the developer of a game you’re requesting, please identify yourself that way. Thanks in advance!
UPDATE: Offline, video will be up shortly. Games played:
- Flappy Bird
- Escape From Paradise
- Doodle Kingdom
- Touch Force
- Lonely Bunny
- SolForge
- ZEZ
- Reckless Racing 2

I've been around the AppStore since its release, but never really was a true gamer until like early 2012, so I've actually never heard of this game. I'll look into getting the first one as it looks rather interesting.
Great series. A form of RTS, stripped down to something easier to digest. (Must be why I like TD as well!)
I get a Firefly vibe from the video.
Humorous Firefly reference. Browncoat?
Hated the game. Just made me stressed. (Sorry, not an RTS player -- unless it's *REALLY* special.)
A suhhh weeet!
I have Galcon Fusion, Galcon Labs, and Galcon Lite, but not Galcon proper. Is there anything I'm missing from the original?
Looking forward to the upcoming ones!
'Galcon' is a form of online multiplayer for smartphones, while 'Galcon Fusion' is online multiplayer for iPad, PC, Mac. Both are good in their own way. I prefer the more compact maps and quicker gameplay of 'Galcon' multiplayer or iGalcon, as many players call it.
Sounds like I'm good then. Thanks for the reply.
Looks good. I'll be interested to see how they weave the story into the game.
Galcon is by far the game I have played the most in the past several years.
So simple, but the multiplayer never ever gets boring.
The reason is probably that you are so ostentatively playing against real human humans in al sorts and sizes.
