Nothing gets me more excited than historical figures being used in absurd ways, and with that I think that the upcoming title Second Chance Heroes will be right up my alley. Developer Rocket City Studios has been working on the game since early 2010, and recently announced in our forums that it would be gracing iOS devices soon. So what is Second Chance Heroes? Allow me to quote directly from one of the developers, who describes it as “…a cooperative arcade action adventure where you play as and collect historical figures to take on an apocalypse of the absurd. This is a game where you can play as Abraham Lincoln with a chainsaw and fight off a sentient cheeseburger, or mow down hordes of angry purple aliens with a cigar chomping Queen Elizabeth I." Well I’m sold. Check out their announcement trailer for the game which was released earlier this year.
In addition to chainsaw-wielding Abe Lincoln and mini-gun-toting Queen Liz, there’s also an electrified Nikola Tesla, a “wooden mech warrior" Leonardo da Vinci, a ghost of Julias Ceaser, and many more. You can actually check out the entire roster of historical heroes on the game’s website. It’s like Bill & Ted’s Excellent Adventure meets Gauntlet. Rocket City is shooting to have Second Chance Heroes out before the end of the year, or possibly very early next year, so be sure to add it to your TouchArcade (Free) Watch List and hang around in the forums and we’ll bring you more news on its release as we get it.
