We can’t really figure out why these kind of games randomly shoot up in popularity on the iTunes charts. Maybe it’s the developer getting super lucky with social media virility, maybe it’s an incredibly effective advertising campaign, maybe they threw a ton of money at ChartBoost… Or, something else entirely. Either way, Motocross Elite ($0.99) didn’t really blow our hair back, but we’ve played a lot of these kind of games.

If you’re looking for a good Excitebike-like, I guess Motocross Elite is alright… But I’d download something like Bike Baron ($1.99) or Joe Danger ($1.99) first.
