A couple of weeks back, Double Fine Productions announced a new rhythm game they were working on called Dropchord. The game was mainly being designed for desktop computers and the interesting Leap Motion Controller, which adds Microsoft Kinect-like motion detection functionality to your computer, but Double Fine said it would also be hitting touch screen devices. Yesterday the first teaser for Dropchord was released, which you can see below.
Normally when a game is announced with nothing more than a few screens and some light details, I get excited for a trailer to show a game in motion and give me a better idea of what it’s all about. In this case, despite the teaser above, I still have no idea what is going on in Dropchord. That’s fine by me, though, because I’m digging the music and the flashy visuals. We’ll look forward to more on Dropchord in the near future as it’s planned for release sometime this year.
