Hints of a full-fledged Angry Birds cartoon series have been bandied about for what seems like forever, and now the real deal is finally set to premiere next month. Rovio has released a new teaser for Angry Birds Toons, a new weekly animated which debuts the weekend of March 16th and 17th.
It sounds like the series will delve into the details of the Angry Birds lore, asking the long-pondered questions like “what makes Bomb Bird so angry?" and “Why is the King Pig the King Pig?" Inquiring minds want to know.
I do have to admit that while I’ve never found myself wondering much about the backstories of the Angry Birds crew, the show does appear to have a really lovely animation style and I’m definitely going to at least check it out. If you’d like to do the same, I’m sure there will be no shortage of places for you to do so as well either on Rovio’s YouTube channel, the Angry Birds website, and probably in the actual apps themselves.
