Ever since Brad “Cat Oppressor" Nicholson unceremoniously nixed the Jared’s Kitty Korner segment from our podcast, there has been an outpouring of support from the legion of Kitty Korner fans demanding its reinstatement. Yes, all three of you made quite a bit of noise, but alas it just doesn’t look like it’s in the cards.
Depressing, I know, but there’s no way I’ll let “The Man" silence my cat obsession as long as I’ve got the written word. That’s why I’m here to tell you about Clumsy Cat, a new release from Dingo Games, who you may remember brought Laser Dolphin ($2.99) and Tasty Planet: Back for Seconds ($3.99) to the iOS platform.
In Clumsy Cat, you play a kitty who’s roaming around the house, doing kitty things that kitties aren’t supposed to be doing like climbing on bookshelves and furniture. Your goal is to wreck all the objects that are decorating the room by knocking them down as you walk by. This is demonstrated pretty well in the game’s trailer.
If you ask me, I don’t think this is necessarily a case of a cat being clumsy, but more just a cat being a cat. Cats are jerks, they like to wreck stuff because they’re bored and restless after sleeping 18 hours a day, and so what do you expect them to do huh? If you’re liking the look of Clumsy Cat then mark your calendars for next week when it hits the App Store as a free Universal app.
