Anomaly Warzone Earth [$1.99] just became an even crazier-good proposition for iPad 2 owners: 11 Bit Studios has just released an update for both versions of the already fantastic-looking game, adding in an extra layer or two of graphical awesome specifically for the platform. New blur and glow effects, as well as enhanced shadowing, contrast, saturation, and much more dynamic environmental touches have been added in addition to bug fixes and Universal support.
Outside of the new iPad 2 eye candy — and to be clear, the game still looks great post-update — 11 Bit has added that new Squad Assault Rearmed map and also fixed that pesky Commander Trials issue that has plagued the game since release. Oh! And Facebook posting is now better.
As if that wasn’t enough Anomaly news for your eyeholes, we’ve got some sale details to spill: the game is currently available at $1.99 for a limited time. We can’t be friends anymore if you don’t buy it at this price (since it’s so good and all).

Fun game but those gripes are true: it kinda sucks to just have to bomb around randomly when things heat up cause you cant tell these bugs apart. Maybe there should be a little flashing spot where large damage is being taken. Very unique game though, like it alot. I guess there are supposed to be Boss battles? Cool, havent got that far yet...
Amazing game. 5-stars. Genius concept for controlling an RTS. The levels get challenging enough. I just obsessively completed the whole game (all the stars), and I was well impressed. Definitely recommend to any fan of strategy/RTS/line-drawing games.
C&C with this pathing/control system would be perfect. I would love to see a randon skirmish mode so I can keep playing. Otherwise though nearly perfect.
There is a certain beauty in laying out this intricate network of paths and watching 100 ants patrolling, attacking, gathering food and seeking out treasure. I am particular to aircraft and so my fav is sending in waves of 10 carpet bomber ants the decimate the enemy.
Isn’t it more like castle defense, not tower defense? The two terms get confused often, and both involve defending a goal, but if you have spatial freedom to attack the enemy, that sounds like castle defense. If you’re deploying fixed units that stay put to create a gauntlet, that’s tower defense.
Guess I’ll find out for myself! :)
I am in the top 5 % but any know how make more than 2,000,000.00 seams impossible ???
