My Flappy Bird high score video was the very first video I uploaded to YouTube. I only recorded it for a laugh and to share with friends here on TA. I so wasn't prepared for 4.8 million views and 5,000+ comments.
I hope you had your YouTube ads fully online and operational for that surge. I hope Flappy Bird becomes a thing again, we had some of our highest traffic weeks EVER at the height of the Flappy craze.
Not at first, no. But once I saw what was happening I sorted that stuff out fairly quickly and ended up earning quite a decent amount of money. I think for me the craze really hit home when a guy contacted me asking for permission to have my video on display in the Victoria and Albert museum in London. Mental.
