2. Number
• The numbers show how many mines are hidden in the boxes immediately adjacent to that square.
• If no mines are adjacent, the box is blank.
• Use the numbers to work out where the mines are hiding!

3. Counter bar
• Timer: This indicates the time required to complete each game.
• Mines: This indicates the number of mines you must find.
