It seems like its usefulness is severely limited by not having standard ports. If the Zune HD had just a mini-USB and HDMI port on the bottom I'd be impressed.
see...i'm not the only anal one. @hodapp, yeah that would be cool, although, apple has always been known for their odd cables and connectors as well. however it would be nice to just throw the zune on a spare hdmi cable. maybe zune hd v2 will have that, I hope. actually I wish apple had a device that was handheld and did that. even if it was an apple tv mini, that would hold 4 or 5 movies, and then could be easily plugged in. I would never be pissed about traveling to cities with crap cable lineups again.
ive actually had a few creative zens and none ever crashed or froze, but my ipod tough 2G has froze and crashed so many times. its really frustrating when your ipod goes to a completely blank white screen and you have to wait until the battery runs out to finally reset the damn thing. plus my zens could play many more music and video files and had better sound quality. so i guess its a good thing i didnt get my ipod for the sound quality.
never once, i did replace a battery about two years after i got it, but other than that. i NEVER had a problem.
i agree, it seems the apple equilizer isn't quite as effective as others. it's still not bad, just not an audiophiles dream.
I had a T-Mobile Shadow that ran Windows Mobile. Never had any problems with it aside from once when it fell out of my bra and hit the floor when I bent down to pick something up. Needless to say, I don't use that storage space for the iPhone
Even with the multitouch I hope they keep some kind of physical buttons to I can change the volume and track in my pocket without taking it out to look at the screen. Microsoft has done a great job improving the Zune. 1st one was a bulky mess, 2nd one was great and blew all iPods away except for the iTouch, this one looks better but I'll miss the physical scroll panel.
