Look, the iPod Touch series is MEANT to be less power full then a much more expensive iPhone or iPad. It's the affordable apple product. So you should be surprised your iPod touch 4 isn't supported, the device can barely handle its OS without lag, slow downs or crashing....
That's pretty much the reason I had to upgrade to the new iPad, as I've still got my iPod touch 4G but the amount of games that don't support it these days is crazy, mine struggles to even load the web never mind new games. Something like fish out of water is all laggy and that's a pretty basic game. Well anyway this is looking cool, can't wait.
It sucks that Apple Released it so terribly underpowered, but that's Apple for you.. And yeah the game looks sweet! I can't wait, is there any ETA yet?
From his blog (May 19): Hey guys, Was in France for a little over a week back in Vancouver now! Expect some updates soon! I'm sure the game is still coming.
Everybody please refer to this page for all of your answers. The developer is active just not in these forums http://www.zombox.net
Attention: As many of you have been waiting for this and have forgotten about I will give you the news. The developer has put Zombox on hold because of the long time it took him to get to where he is at. He felt that he wanted to make a smaller scale game to get more experience. He has made a new game called Jungle Moose which is awaiting review on the App Store! Didn't mean to bump but I felt enough people would want to hear this news.
Yeah, in his FB, Twitter and blog he said he took a sabbatical on Zombox, but that he will be coming back to it. I don't mind at all, one dude making that game which already looks better than anything on the appstore? I can wait. I didn't know about the new game though, thanks Bandit!
Ye, a hippo who wants to cross a river full of piranhas sounds like a very intuitive and fresh game idea. I swear I had played something like this in the late 80's on my Atari. I think it was a frog who wants to cross a street? Nah, jokes aside. I honestly don't care about the hippo game. Zombox looked like something outstanding and fun. I hope the dev makes good progress with his new game and will be back on Zombox when he feels comfortable about it.
It actually is fresh, as you don't have to avoid piranhas, you have to swipe them up out of the water and make them fall on it's horned helmet otherwise they'll eat the poor guy in a bloody feast of flesh.
I'm wondering if this is going to be more like project zomboid for the iOS, which would be pretty freaking awesome. Love the way the characters look in this game. Wishing the dev good luck on it, a lot of ambitious games get cut early due to having so much great content, hope this doesn't become the case here.
Anyone read his recent blog post? http://www.zombox.net/?cat=3 I found it fascinating. Even after 5 years hes still hard at work coding and still gets the satisfaction from it.
