I want to get this game just to support these devs for making such a big update for a game that's selling for only 99 cents...and yet I really do not like castle defense games. The repetitive "swipe your finger across the screen as fast as you can 800 times in a row every level" gameplay formula doesn't do anything for me. Does this one follow that same formula or is there more to it, maybe some strategy involved?
Hey median, I can tell you a little bit more about it. What makes this game so different is that they added loads of weaponry. Now, the deal is, you NEED them. First of all, this game is pretty challenging. I found myself playing a certain level over and over again, because I couldn't pass the final giant zombie (which is immune to the swipe mechanic). You can simply tap weaponry crates that drop from the sky to hold them in your inventory, and use them when you see fit. I'd say, give it a shot, for a buck this is quite a catch. And it's not just a 800x swiping game
i hate castle defense games also, usually just stupid swipes. but this game somehow is really enjoyable, dunno why however. Maybe because there are some strategies, because of many weapons and limited slots. and u have to choose right spot when u want to use these weapons. very nice upgrade system. but of course at later levels there are a lot of swipes too, but not very annoying.
Damn, really happy to see the update is out. I'm going to spend some time getting back my love for this game.
You won't be disappointed!! In general, I can't stand the castle def genre. There's just something about all the flicking that I hate, but this game is just awesome! I found myself completely hooked trying to beat some of the harder levels.
Same here. I don't like CD/TD genre, but I like ZombieSmash (and Knights Onrush). Nice visuals help, I guess.
I Love this game so much. Best physics game I have ever played, ever involving Defense genre, maybe even out of all games on the iPod/iPhone. Thanks for the really cheap price of 99c and the epic game itself. You made my iPod much more fun to use. Edit: I love the weapons. Keep adding more!! I love using all of them in sandbox too! Maybe you can add a Flamethrower, those bottles of oil, when you throw them, they make fire (forgot the name, but similar to grenades). Oh, maybe a chainsaw, lmao. Thanks!!

Love the game, love the update, HATE the new icon. Updates are good, but keep the standard icon. Anyway, as someone who hasn't liked any other castle defense game, I can stillhighly recommend this game. Very fun, great physics, nice weapons, good enemy variety, fun levels.
football theme is very funny, great update. however new levels for 3gs are really boring and annoying.
What I've tried of the 3GS levels I've enjoyed a lot. Having so many enemies attack at once with all the cool physics and animations intact is impressive.
I must say i'm very dissappointed with this update. I love the game. It's one of the must have and a five star for me. But this update kinda pisses me off because it forces me to continue my campaign with the new soccer zombies and weapons instead of the regular ones. I'm not much into soccer but i would deem this update as a welcome addition if it were a bonus you can play separately from the main game. And i hate the new game icon and loading screen. Hope you bring back the old ones when the world cup is over.
