I had a W7 phone for like 5 minutes, about a year ago, and this was one of the only decent titles. Can someone refresh my memory as to the goal of this game? I mean, why would you WANT to place zombies? Is it to foil other players? Help me to understand, please! Thanks in advance.
The goal of the game is to get to the helicopter landing pad before other players. However, the landing pad is just one of the possible tiles from the street card deck and you never know who's going to get it or where they're going to place it. Players placing zombies is simply the way the board game keeps zombie spawns fair but unpredictable without the need for an additional zombie-controlling player. Specific zombie placement is generally used to slow the other players while attempting to keep the path to your goals clear. It's that cycle of players backstabbing each other that makes the board game so entertaining and frantic.
It's about 211Mb. Placing zombies is mandatory every time a new tile is placed (the start of every player's turn). They guard tokens or block paths pretty much. However, the strategy comes in at the end of your turn when you can move ANY zombies on the board. Thus, "foiling" other players by forcing them to fight, overcoming them with a horde, or blocking a token that they are obviously after.
