Wait... I thought it was being published by a subcompany of EA...

Anyway, looks pretty cool. I'll have to try it out.

Looks pretty boring imo. One of those survival games that is fun the first two playthroughs, and then you never pick up again

Wow, it's out already? Might wait for Albie's review (if he's doing one) or just buy it. It looks pretty fun.

Developed. Ea would have no reason to publish it under another company if they can use the brand power of ea, so it makes sense

I will say this: the fact that EA published a polished (at least look-wise, I am yet to play it) $0.99 game is one that they will prosper from. Tons of people, especially those impulse buyers, will jump the gun for it. If the game is good (and I'm hopeful it is), EA may have just made their most important move on the iPhone yet.

Wrong. With the plethora of $1 games in the app store, my money could be much better spent elsewhere

    Very true, very true

I just played the game...I can say that it's different.

Basically, you're a guy who needs to protect his grandma and her house and that means distracting the hordes of zombies. You control a guy by dragging the little dude around the screen. As you do, more zombies appear in groupie fashion chasing you around. At random points, a blast area appears and your objective is to get enough zombies into the ring for the missile blast. If zombies latch onto you, you can tap the guy to get his loose. The more zombies you destroy, the better the designation and points. Designations include butchery, slaughter, carnage, massacre and annihilation. A stat page shows most zombies killed in one fell swoop as well points earned.

The game gets repetitive and the game screen is pretty small. I can see some getting off on this for a short time, but the game isn't my cup of zombie tea. In terms of depth, I can't really say there is any. The soundtrack is eerie, kind of in a "Monster Mash" kind of way, but I don't see myself playing with this again.
