Universal Zombie Rogue (by Game Fish)

    The end?

    I just finished the game (5 stars by the way, this game is amazing)

    But there are still 2 locked doors at the starting base...

    I thought maybe there would be endless mode or some kind of new game+, a hardcore mode.
    Anything really!

    But they’re both locked. And I’m left with the feeling there is not really good reason to start it over except fun.

    Anyone knows what those locked doors hide?

    Hope the devs answer this one. Sounds like they might be intended to be some sort of continuation of the game?

    Have decided to buy this game after reading all the previous comments.
    Roguelike games are right up there with tactical rpg's in my list of favourite game types.....

    .....and I don't mind obviously beta testing the game for the devs. #

    (here's hoping it is optimised for the large iPad Pros resolution # ).

    Did you see my bug report? Hope they will be fixed soon(the last update didn't change anything, as I still couldn’t start a new run due to black screen).

    In the end after finishing this game.
    I decided to re-visit good ol’ Space Grunt.
    Wich is good!

    Sorry for being a bit late.
    Basically, as I use a iPhone X swipe controls would just make it easier to play one handed. The touch a cell to move to it option is good otherwise, but having the option to also play with swipes, which could take longer to move around, but easier to play for example while on public transport if you need to hold on, without having to stretch your thumb all the way across

    Thx for the fast updates.

    This is really one of the best rougelike games i have played in a looong time. I love how i,even after my third playthrough, learn new technics and mechanics in a new run. Just great.

    But lets be real about my three fast playthroughs:
    All final bosses are a bit bugged. So its not hard to beat them. They tend to get stuck in doors and stop attacking. You can also destroy them from a distance and they wont recognize you. Just stand 4 or 5 fields away so you can see them and start throwing things at them... and done. But its nothing that destroys the joy and fun this game brings.

    So i guess the game would be harder if they would work properly.

    But anyways. 5/5 for this game. Its a steal for 0.99... i would have paid more.

    Thanks for the encouraging review! We have a lot of thought and plans about Zombie Rogue, Mr. President definitely is not the terminal point. So keep playing and keep update!

    In answer to my own question I am happy to report that the game does indeed support the large iPad Pro. #
    I am really enjoying the game. It is a great take on rogue-like games. The ability to change between human and zombie is a neat tactical inclusion.

    My one gripe, so far, is that the overall brightness is a tad dark. Even with the iPads screen setting at full brightness I am finding it hard to see doors when zooming out to check where I have already explored.
    Perhaps a brightness setting ingame could be included or even just a message that all doors have been opened would be welcome. #

    I’ve been enjoying this game a lot! I’ve figured out some stuff but I know there’s plenty more left to do. That said, I know enough to say A few tweaks to make it even better (for me)

    Brightness: I’ve got old eyes, help me out! This is #1 on the wish list.

    Special Damage: Give me a sense of how much damage my special does, please.

    Low HP: Whenever you take a hit that results in less than 10% of your Max HP, it’d be nice if something could blink or pulse or something — I have died from walking around as a Zombie too many times.

    iPhone X Fix: I’m sure this is on the list, but it’d be nice to see the top of the screen.

    Brightness: We are adjusting the scene graphics, hopefully will be brighter in next update
    Special Damage: Currently it depends on your might and what weapon you are holding in your main hand.
    Low HP: It's a nice suggection. We'll add it to somewhere in the todo list.
    iPhoneX Fix: It's already done, will be released in the next update. We are doing a big update here, so in 2 weeks I hope.
