I don't think it was rushed, I just think they don't put much thought into thier games. Either way the game looks like it plays well and is still an instant purchase for me
It actually isn't too bad. Really, that's pretty much what zombies are. They don't change anatomic structure just because they turned into a zombie. They could have had the skin decay a bit (again), but they look good overall. Btw, the screens and trailer look MUCH better when viewed from an iPod/iPhone.
Puzzle or technical only, such as racing games, don't require a spirit within themselves, action or mystery games should have spirit. I think its just time to critize it more often, that Gameloft isn't be able to reproduce the true spirit of game which require that, and that was the essential thing which made those originals so enjoyable. The best action or mystery games have "mood", and Gameloft is just too much rip-off to give that kind of game that things. Seriously, Zombie Infection doesn't look like a zombie shooter for real.
It's mode Call Of Duty and Resident Evil by Gameloft. It's new parody, but I want to buy it when it out!
I'm brazilian, and i'm fine with the game using a favela to replace the RE african setting. I do think the bright, lively art direction is a dissapointment horror-wise, but - most Gameloft games are fairly bright, so that was expected, and... Brazil's a tropical country (we're right in the Equator). It's kinda like making a horror game in Miami. You expect Miami to be bright, but a horror game to be moody. Oh well. About Gameloft's games lacking "spirit", well, they are the EA of portable gaming. They have the resources, the speed and the polish, but you never feel the passion. They don't make personal games. They make games for the money only - they don't go with insane ideas, their games are not "we've always dreamed of making this game". They make games like a factory makes shoes. Doesn't matter if it's horror, action or what. The setting and the art directions are after-thoughts. If you care about characters, storylines and their development, then you'll be dissapointed. But if you just want to chill with a polished game, then Gameloft's fine.
Eh, I'm tired of washed out brown and grey colour schemes for the last 5 years of blockbuster videogaming. And as for the colourful town and zombies, they were regular folk not too long ago. The location wouldn't turn to crap until month have passed.
I see you forgotten that this is a game for the Idevice, and not a PSP. They probably didnt add all the detail because they want this game to be universal, so they wanted all the Ipod/Iphone 2g+ users to experience how all the other versions are looking, except for the Ipad. Maybe if this was Iphone 3g 32gb+ or Iphone 3gs, it might have all the zombie detail. So for now, just wait for Zombie Infection 2: Code Sarah, or Zombie Infection: Raincoat
it comes out monday According the this site http://touchaholics.com/main/2010/05/07/zombie-infection-makes-its-way-to-the-app-store-this-monday/#more-5766 it comes out monday
Exactly. Plus, it doesn't have to be dark in EVERY horror game out there. Left 4 Dead 2, Dead Rising and, Resident Evil 5 all pulled it off, and I think this will too.
If you would have read the last +5 pages you would have known that this is old news. even gamelofts trailer (go to page 30 to view it) says it's comming on monday and the trailer is from a (few) day(s) ago (I can't remember exactly anymore)
Gameplay-wise, it could be polished. Take Tony Hawk's Project 8 for example. There was no story at all, nothing really new or innovative (although I'll admit that the nail the trick mode was fun), and it didn't have the atmosphere that the other games in the series had up until that point, but I still enjoyed it. There were still many good points about the game, and it was still a polished game. Sometimes, if the gameplay and concept are fun, even if it's been done before, that's enough for a good game.
Story - obviously it has one. Innovation - some people may find it to be a generic zombie game, personally I'm not really bothered. But I thought everyone was past the "Gameloft is so generic and copies other games" stage. And as for "atmosphere", you can't say that a game has no atmosphere by looking at a couple screenshots and watching a short gameplay vid. How about actually waiting for it to be released and playing it before you say that there is no atmosphere. And a game could have no story, innovation or atmosphere and I could still consider it to be polished - I think each person has a different definition and idea about what "polished" means.
By the true definition of polished, GameLoft has among the most polished interface, controls, graphics, and gameplay of any developer on the App Store. The story, innovation, and atmosphere aren't necessarily necessary for a game to be considered polished. GameLoft games typically do lack those elements, though, or at least they don't have a good story, real innovation, or a great atmosphere.
Most Gameloft games have a simple plot, not a story. I know Gameloft copies games but a little something to make it new/fresh would be nice. Um... I might be wrong on the last one though. BTW I'm getting this because it looks better than the Resident Evils on the iPhone.
ok it's nw 9th may sunday..i hope it be released soon not wait until midnight cause by that it will be released in usa...c'mon apple where is the game?
